What do thali size numbers mean?
The size number is roughly the diameter in inches, so a No. 12 thali is about 12 inches across. Lakshya khumcha and thali are made from No. 8 up to No. 24.
Which gauge is best for restaurants and messes?
A lower gauge number is thicker steel. 20G and 22G thalis are heavier and suit daily commercial use; 24G and 26G are lighter and cost less.
